What is your competence within the field of AI?
Abelia has significant members that specialise in the field og AI and machine learning. The mail role of Abelia is to promote a political and business environment that enables Norway to take full advantage of the opportunities that AI represent.
Why did you develop an interest in AI?
In my previous job, as a District Director in the city of Oslo, I started to see some of the opportunities for better and more efficient delivery of public services to the inhabitants.

Why should we, or should we not, be afraid of AI?
We should embrace AI. AI has become one of the most important enabling technologies for the efficient digitization of both business and the public sector.
Which field, in your opinion, has the most to benefit from AI – and why?
All sectors of society can benefit from the application of AI. It has something to offer both the farmer, the engineer, the doctor and the lawyer.
How should the use of AI develop in the future?
In order for us to sucessfully apply AI, the following are essentials:
- Data computing power / high performance computing
Why should participants tune in during AI+?
Because I will give some perspectives on why and how AI can become a key tool in transforming Norway into a digital and sustainable society.
