He is Chief Enterprise Architect and Head of Enterprise Architecture in Posten and Bring.

Tell us about your first encounter with artificial intelligence (AI)?

That’s hard to tell, it might been the first chatbots or maybe some hidden code that recommended me something. To work with it was in Posten with RPA and Chatbots. My first experience working on a solution was with the ML team from Microsoft on our first hackathon I Posten in 2019.

What is your competence within the field of AI?

My competence is more about how and what we can use it to. My main interest in in the usages and knowledge we can get out of data and I’m very lucky to have a team of data scientist that can create the solutions

Why did you develop an interest in AI?

Since I’m very passionate about how to use data to gains insight and  I have been working with data for 30 years, AI and ML gives a better tools to gain insight and use the data.

Can you recommend a relevant book or film about AI?

I should probably have some good recommendations but I don’t think of any particular books or films.

Why should we, or should we not, be afraid of AI?

AI will not remove your job, it will remove the boring part of your job. AI and ML will give you better, faster and more precise information in the future.

Which field, in your opinion, has the most to benefit from AI – and why?

I will probably answer based on my focus area, and I think AI and ML can improve your customer experience. Giving better predictions, better answers, faster answers, improve customer service.

How should the use of AI develop in the future?

It’s so many aspects of this but I think ethics will be very important over the next years.

Why should participants tune in during AI+?

If you want to learn about how to get started with ML, how to implement a solution in a short time and  to get the organization interested in ML.  I will share my experience and give some advice on this topic.

Jørn Mjøster is a speaker at the AI+ virtual conference 2021.
