Project Manager Data Factory, AI Sweden

Ebba Josefson Lindqvist is Project Manager for the Data Factory at AI Sweden, Sweden’s national center for applied AI. Ebba is responsible for coordinating and developing AI Sweden’s Data Factory, including the expansion of the infrastructure, cutting-edge AI labs connected to the Data Factory and how partners best can use the resources to accelerate applied AI in Sweden.

 

Ebba has a law degree from School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, and also works with legal aspects of AI at AI Sweden, e.g. data sharing and GDPR. She has previous experience from law firms in both California and Sweden as well as from a legal tech startup.

 

Ebba is Director of Nordic Nodes for the networking organization Silicon Vikings, a network connecting Silicon Valley and the Nordics/Baltics.

Tell us about your first encounter with artificial intelligence (AI)?

Don’t remember the first time but speech recognition engines like in speakers or phones have always fascinated me.

 

What is your competence within the field of AI? 

My competence within AI lies in working with AI infrastructure such as storage and compute as well as legal questions related to AI.

 

Why did you develop an interest in AI? 

When I was spending time in Silicon Valley I got bit by the bug and since then I’ve had a great interest in technology and AI.

 

Can you recommend a relevant book or film about AI? 

The film Ex Machina.

 

Why should we, or should we not, be afraid of AI? 

We should be aware of biases and how data is being used when developing AI.

 

Which field, in your opinion, has the most to benefit from AI – and why? 

Healthcare has very exciting use cases for AI and the benefits could be significant.

 

How should the use of AI develop in the future?

Applied AI should be used more frequently in industry and our daily life.

 

Why should participants tune in during AI+? 

To get a glimpse of what is happening in Sweden in AI as well learn more about how the Data Factory can boost the use of applied AI in Sweden.
